Todd Research Limited was formed in January 1950 and has since this time evolved into a business focused purely on the development and supply of a range of X-ray, Metal Detection and Blast Suppression Equipment for single-letter to cargo applications.
With both private and public sector customers in over 80 countries Todd Research is able to call upon a combination of expert market knowledge and excellent product reputation in order to deliver a complete security solution for a wide cross-section of organizations.
Todd Research's increasing reputation for product innovation is demonstrated by its development of industry-leading soft and hardware that gives organizations the ability to obtain the best available images of powder and explosive contaminants within both post and baggage.
Through research and development and communication with government, police and heads of business Todd Research is able to create innovations in X-ray screening that set the standard the world over, including Colortrace® III, EPD® (Enhanced Powder Detection), Remote Operation and DETEX (the world's first hand baggage X-ray conveyor with EDS Explosive Detection System). The company has also launched a low-cost range of security equipment, called basix.
Todd Research also have a network of factory-trained engineers who provide installation training and regular maintenance to the machines. The company believes that it is important to maintain the operator, not just the machine, so provides regular training updates for users of the machines.
