Security is the protection of assets, both physical and logical from unauthorized access, theft or damage. In an increasingly uncertain world, the growing concern for security, safety and privacy has paved the way for intelligent security solutions that incorporate fingerprint biometrics, cryptography, and smartcards along with many other new techniques.
For more than 75 years, Texas Instruments (TI) has been providing technology and enabling development of products to improve safety across the globe. The focus is on the "prevention of unauthorized access" with new methods of user authentication that utilize biometrics, digital encryption and smart cards or a combination of these methods at an affordable cost.
These products help protect the public and prevent safety problems through real-time detection and analysis as well as improved power efficiency in devices. Our technology makes it easier for consumers to safeguard their own lives with new, innovative products being more accessible, affordable and tailored to their needs.
We are working with manufacturers to develop products that address safety concerns and foster lifestyles that protect freedoms, promote safety, and convenience and wellness.
Network DVR SecurityTexas provides network DVR security in the form of digital video recorders for security surveillance applications. DVR technology involves the digitalizing of analog surveillance video signals, before they are encoded by a processor.
These digital video streams can be viewed locally using a DVR. Higher performance DVRs/SVRs also have analytical capabilities allowing for the instant detection of intrusion, movement or attempts to enter virtual perimeters. Texas supplies DVRs for the development of network DVR security systems founded on analogue security cameras. In recent years, DVR products have taken the place of VCRs, automating the simple storage of important surveillance data and enabling network DVR security systems.
