As the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of CCTV Mounting Equipment, Altron is ideally located in South Wales, the heart of the British steel industry, to meet customers’ requirements both nationally and internationally.
Altron specialises in the manufacture of camera towers, CCTV columns, CCTV poles and CCTV mounting bracketry for the CCTV and Telecommunications industries. Altron has over 35 years of experience in designing and manufacturing free standing structures and this expertise places Altron at the forefront of designs to suit any location worldwide.
Every camera for optimum performance needs to be mounted correctly. Whilst some cameras are simply mounted on buildings most, for operational reasons, require mounting on poles.
The use of lighting poles is frowned upon by all experienced CCTV designers as the movement of these structures and their susceptibility to resonant frequency means that poor quality pictures are obtained. CCTV mounting structures made by Altron, which are specifically built for CCTV, ensure these situations do not occur.
In addition Altron manufacture products which tilt over of have lowering trolleys. These are further complimented by cabinet bases if required. Altron also offer a full range of products for wall and roof mounting, as well as other accessories.
CCTV poles are used to mount CCTV cameras. The stability of any structure ensures the quality of the picture when viewed. Not only can a swaying CCTV pole be disorientating when viewing a live picture and evidential items pass from view, when viewing time has elapsed the quality of the picture will be severely compromised.
Camera TowersAltron camera towers are the ideal choice for mounting CCTV cameras in open terrain environment. The open lattice structure ensures that these units are affected little by even high wind speeds. Available in both static and tilt down models up to 15m. Altron also manufacture other structures for telecoms and CCTV up to 50m in height.
CCTV columns are used to mount CCTV cameras. Like poles, stability of a picture ensures good evidential images. Generally speaking a CCTV column is manufactured from square section steel, a security pole is tubular and a camera tower is of lattice construction.
With camera servicing being an expensive exercise, tilt down towers, poles and columns offer a significant cost saving when considering the hire cost of, or puchase cost of access equipment. Although there will be a small additional cost during the installation, the long term savings associated with tilt down towers are significant.
