The FIC is a Confederation of the five leading UK Fire Protection Trade Associations, who collectively represent over 90% of the £2 billion + UK Fire Protection Market. All recognise the benefit of being able to speak, strategically, with one voice on matters of common interest affecting the whole of the Industry.
The Confederation is taking the opportunity of building on past successes where working together, under the FIC brand and adopting a focused strategy, based upon broad policy objectives, has delivered results.

The FIC has initiated and been involved in the development of many new initiatives; which aim to further enhance the attractiveness of the British Fire Protection Industry. This includes the establishment of the FIC Export Focal Point, which aims to improve the export performance of British Fire Protection companies.
The FIC is also involved with and represents the fire protection industry on the Fire Safety Advisory Board, which was established in July 2000, to advise Ministers on fire safety issues.

Membership of the Fire Industry Confederation
Membership of the Confederation is open to Trade Associations within the British Fire Protection Industry, representing the major part of their Sector of the Fire Protection market, provided that they agree to abide by the terms of the Constitution.
Confederation membership represents no loss of identity or threat to Member's independence. Member Associations can nominate two representatives to serve on the Board of the Confederation.
