Working closely with the Security Industry Authority (SIA), Edexcel has developed the widest range of qualifications to support the licensing and continuing professional development of security personnel. In addition, we are the only awarding body to have developed a BTEC Award in Vehicle Immoblisation.

We have a decade of experience in the provision of NVQ and BTEC qualifications and it is our intention to lead the way in the professionalisation and upskilling of the security workforce to meet sector requirements and expectations.

Edexcel qualifications are designed to give security staff, from trainers through to CCTV operators the skills, competencies and confidence to improve customer service and safety. All Edexcel qualifications are benchmarked against National Occupational Standards and address the latest legislative and regulatory requirements. The full suite of qualifications range from entry level Adult Literacy and Numeracy through to Business and Management qualifications.

Join our BTEC Security Training Forum (BSTF). This network group meets regularly and includes an update from Edexcel, SIA and other stakeholders as well as practical workshops on topics such as good invigilation practice and administrative procedures.
