BAE Systems C-ITS has developed and delivered simulators for government and military usage since 1988. The pedigree for command and staff training systems includes more than 20 deliveries worldwide. Our efforts have resulted in a competent, reliable and mature system fitted for your needs.
DARTS is a disaster relief planning, training and operational support system that provides the automated tool for first responders and emergency management to prepare and respond to a disaster.
A Changing World
Large scale disasters as hurricanes, terrorist operations and the events that follow (flooding, fire, riots, mass evacuations, etc.) require exact coordination between multiple agencies and precise management of personnel and equipment resources.
Involving People
Emergency managers who control, coordinate and manage the personnel and equipment allocated, need appropriate tools in order to master an effective response. First responders that provide emergency assistance, stabilizing the situation and trying to reduce secondary damage need easily accessible asset and resource information and tools to communicate with Emergency Management.
DARTS simulates an emergency, such as a hurricane or chemical spill, and models its effects on population, property and terrain. DARTS also simulates the individual field units and the actions those units can take in response to the emergency.
Operational Support
The same tools used for planning and training are also used for operational support but the feed into the system is now coming from real units and events. With state of the art map applications, GPS tracking and incident reporting first responders send and receive information to/from the Emergency Operation Centre. Emergency Management use the real time information from the field with geospatial data, asset data and disaster modelling to make better decisions.
Fit for Purpose
BAE Systems C-ITS security solutions are scalable, distributable, mobile and easy to tailor. The systems can be used on laptops or in a network. Mobile handheld devices can connect via a cellular or radio network. It is fully distributable, enabling remote sites to take part of the exercises/operations. The behaviour of the simulation and the AAR can easily be tailored to specific needs.
