Those who would like to take advantage of biometric access control are often confronted with having to resolve complicated installation issues - such as learning new PC software skills and planning major building disruption.
They also face the prospect of high costs - and one of the most expensive aspects of installing a new system is the cost of the associated wiring. It takes time, causes considerable disruption and often involves compromise. As an example, switches and readers usually have to be placed where possible rather than where desired.
All of these issues can be off-putting - especially if the needs are relatively straight forward. Many homes, shops and small offices that could easily benefit have had no real option - until now.
So What Is MicroLatch?
MicroLatch is a revolutionary new approach to access control - providing the security benefits of biometric finger recognition together with the flexibility of wireless installation. Designed for easy and cost effective fitting, MicroLatch quickly improves security arrangements - with no more PIN codes to remember or access cards to keep secure.
Being wireless, the finger recognition units can be placed where convenient, and can be linked together with wireless key-fobs that provide even greater convenience.

MicroLatch is available as a complete kit, with options containing the receiver and the access components of your choice - remote fobs, external waterproof readers and even wall-mounted flush readers. A range of accessories are also available to extend the MicroLatch system - including Wiegand enabled receivers to allow integration with existing security installations.

The main advantage of the MicroLatch system is convenience - allowing the placement of the fingerprint readers where they are most useful - even on glass if required. They link together easily - allowing placement where you want them (upstairs and down if required).
The readers allow up to 30 persons (or fingerprint images) to be recognised - and any unrecognised persons (such as visitors) who press the reader will activate a normal bell-chime.
Successful fingerprint recognition simply authorises the receiver to open a relay, that may switch any connected device - such as a door maglock or electric door strike, or garage doors and even secure key cabinets.
The same features are available with the non-biometric wireless key fob, being an economical alternative to the biometric packages and ideal for flexible property automation when fingerprint security is not immediately required.
