The portable road blades are in the raised position while BOB's arm is extended, and retract automatically when BOB's gate is open.

Consisting of A Battery Operated Barrier (BOB), a set of Road Blades and a roll out speed bump, all fit into 3 small mil spec containers.
The TRAP easily fits in most vehicles, deploys in around 5 minutes and utilizing an on-board Mil. spec battery and charger, is capable of up to 10,000 rapid open and close cycles on a single charge. The TRAP can be quick charged in 2-6 hours and field charged if required with an optional jumper to any 12 volt vehicle.
When used by the military, the TRAP eliminates confusion at checkpoints by placing a full physical barrier across the roadway, instead of sending personnel into harms way flagging down vehicles.
The TRAP works in any environment, 24/7, and for applications that require security personnel to pass freely, the TRAP can be operated by a hi security wireless remote from a vehicle allowing only authorized personnel to enter or egress secure areas without having to exit their vehicle.
There are numerous options like radio control, solar chargers, segmented gates and wireless IR day and night vision cameras which allow remote monitoring of vehicles trying to gain access.
The arm on the Battery Operated Barrier is also available in reflective red and white sheeting for night time use. Notice the razor sharp teeth.
With its optional wireless IR camera, the TRAP can even be used in areas that might be hazardous to personnel's health.
