Polycarbonate Models
The Polycarbonate Detector Stopper (Smoke Detector Damage Stopper®) is easy to install in areas where severe vandalism is causing false fire alarms or high maintenance costs to your smoke detectors. Aesthetically appealing, this polycarbonate version can be used in correctional facilities and mental hospitals where vandalism or accidental damage is severe. The slots are too small for even a pencil to be passed through them.

Steel Models
Stainless Steel
Designed to provide maximum protection for vulnerable detectors while not compromising their effective operation. Available in two finishes, the design adopts a sophisticated matrix of perforations that provides access for smoke to the detector while providing a protective shield against vandalism or misuse. The Stainless Steel Detector Damage Stopper has been manufactured from heavy duty 18 gauge (1.2mm) stainless steel, which provides a natural resistance to corrosion. Ideal for any application where food is present, as well as use in water treatment plants and correctional facilities.
Coated Cold Rolled Steel
The Coated Cold Rolled Steel Detector Damage Stopper has been manufactured from 16 gauge (1.5mm) cold rolled steel with a white corrosion resistant polyester coating. The steel gives it strength and durability, protecting detectors which may be frequently vandalized causing high maintenance costs and false fire alarms.
Coated Steel Wire Guards
STI borrowed from nature's master builder, the spider, to create a web of protection from vandalism and damage with these UL Listed STI Steel Web Stoppers®. They cover virtually all smoke Detectors available today. Steel cages are designed to protect smoke and fire detectors from vandalism and misuse. Constructed from plastic coated, 9 gauge galvanised steel rod or stainless steel, the cages can cope with the severest of abuse from vandalism or accidental damage.
