SecureD® is a hardware based encryption (AES-256bit) device that offers optimal.
High speed protection for stored data on disk. SecureD® is logically and physically separated from the processing unit and the storage device of the computer system, offering:
- Transparent operation independent of operating system and computer brand
- SecureD® protects ALL data on the storage media by encrypting the entire
content of the medi - Cryptographic algorithms are inaccessible to processes running on the computer
- Cryptographic keying material is NEVER present in the computer's CPU, memory or storage devices
- SecureD® acquires keying material directly from a user provided key token,
such as a smart card. The SecureD® device can be configured to halt immediately or after a configurable delay on token removal (key zeroize), thus rendering the protected data inaccessible and secure. - No software or driver installation
- SecureD® acquires its keying material independently from the CPU and the
data-bus. As a result the device is able to encrypt and decrypt ALL stored data,
even during system startup - Certification of the SecureD® under Common Criteria EAL 4 (4+ in progress)
and FIPS 140-2, Level 3 (Security Requirements for Cryptographic Modules) - Encryption of all content on storage media in entire lifecycle decimates
