New Faces At Assa Abloy ITG: Three Industry Experts Strengthen APAC Sales Team

Growing market opportunities for RFID components expected

Assa Abloy Identification Technologies (ITG), one of the leading providers of products and services in the RFID market, strengthens its sales team in the Asia Pacific region. In response to the growing market opportunities in the region three industry experts have joined the company.

Effective April 2007, Ian Shelley, a renowned RFID expert and frequent speaker on the subject has been appointed Regional Sales Director Asia Pacific. He will be supported by Dennis Tan, Sales Manager for the South East Asian (ASEAN) markets and Aditya Razdan, Sales Manager South Asia.

Ian Shelley reports directly to Ulrich Reutner, VP Sales & Marketing at Assa Abloy ITG.

Ian Shelley, a physisist, has worked in director level positions for a number of blue chip companies, as well as having held responsibilities for global sales and marketing atSpringer-Verlag, Berlin. He gained prolific RFID know-how during the past four years, in which he led a global RFID project at MTR Corporation in HongKong.
Ian has been a pioneer of two dotcom companies, with interests in content management, digital rights management and various online publishing models. In his new role at ITG, he leads a dedicated team responsible for the expansion of ITG's sales activities in the region.

Dennis Tan has been in the electronic components industry for the past 10 years and brings significant professional experience in sales and marketing into the team. He is experienced in working with major electronics OEMs and EMS, and was the pioneer in setting up a new sales division for silicon distribution and RFID business at his previous employer, a Japanese company. As Sales Manager ASEAN, Dennis Tan is now responsible for the sales and business development in South East Asia for ITG's comprehensive range of products, collaborating with System Integrators to provide a complete RFID solution to customers.

Aditya Razdan has held several sales and marketing positions in IT companies and also worked as a technology advisor and lecturer. His latest engagements include Infotek Software & Systems, Spanco Telesystems & Solutions as well as the Success Institute.

In the past two years he has published around ten articles on RFID in leading Indian industry magazines. In his new position as Sales Manager South Asia he will be responsible for formulating and regulating sales and marketing strategies for the region with a special focus on brand building and public relations.
