AES IntelliNet

Bangkok office reflects commitment to serving the growing needs of the region

AES Corporation is pleased to announce that on the 1st of March 2007 a new office was formally opened in Asia. This office is located in Bangkok, Thailand and will be used to provide service and support to AES-IntelliNet and other AES solutions in the Asia-Pacific region. AES currently serves customers throughout Asia including customers in China, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Australia. AES-IntelliNet is expanding its service and support capabilities due to the growing de mand for central monitoring of security and fire alarms in the Asia Pacific region.

This increasing need for centralized alarm monitoring has amplified the popularity of the AES-IntelliNet Multi Net product. This self healing, long range wireless mesh radio communication network, works in conjunction with the Internet and provides Central Monitoring Services the ability to monitor locations all around the city, country, region and world without recurring monthly communications costs or infrastructure fees typically associated with remote monitoring. This allows AES customers the ability to provide a more reliable, faster means of communicating alarm signals to central monitoring stations without relying on telephone lines or cellular services that are vulnerable to line cuts, weather conditions, and recurring monthly costs.

According to Mark Brandstein, Chief Operating Officer of AES Corporation, "Asia represents a very significant and growing portion of our business opportunity and customer base. By opening this office we are emphasizing our enhanced and ongoing commitment to our customer base in the Asia Pacific region".
