What is it that differentiates this new patented technology from existing once? The MHTM is a gearless drive system featuring maintenance-free, noise-free and multi-million cycle operation. At the same time power and speed can be directly steered in both directions.
The drive is extremely space-saving. Less space supports aesthetics and design are both primary aspects for the integration into the airport and public transport environment. On the other hand, space savings also allows for more access lines to be installed in parallel to significantly increase operator efficiency.
The new MHTM-technology is the central element to deliver real customer benefits and a high product differentiation in the pedestrian access control market. Headaches commonly associated with current entrance control solutions no longer exist and downtimes are eliminated. Safety concerns are eliminated as well due to the lowest impact forces, even at higher operation speeds.
For example, many waist high turnstiles have a high "spring like" force toward the end of rotation, which could potentially injure children. In addition, forced entry is eliminated and ultimate repeatability is accomplished in each pedestrian barrier using this design. The results are better tailgating, higher throughput and a higher level of safety and security.
The MHTM technology integrated in our products
This innovative technology is now being applied under the label MHTM™-Drive inside in a wide product range. Since the introduction of the patented MHTM-direct drive technology Magnetic Autocontrol designed and released a variety of new products, such as Full Height Turnstiles, Flap (Wing) Barriers, Swing Gates, and "Man-Trap" Systems. In the beginning of 2006, Magnetic Autocontrol presented its MHTM-technology for the first time to international customers and won the award for "Outstanding Technology/Application" at a renowned security trade show in Asia in 2006.
Due to the fact that the drive is extremely space-saving we can offer our MPR (Magnetic Pedestrian Retractable Gate) with a housing of only 200 mm width.

This represents a big advantage e.g. in Automated Fare Collection or for airport immigration because many lines can be placed side by side and allow a very high throughput of passengers.
