The Gira Colour Camera

Gira Giersiepen GmbH

Automatic switching from day to night mode allows the Gira colour camera to combine the various advantages of colour and black and white cameras into a single product:

The display appears in colour during the day, and due to the decreased light at night, it appears in black and white in night mode.

When the ambient brightness drops below a value of 10 lux, the colour camera automatically switches to the infrared mode and provides black and white images, which appear with the best possible quality even in poor lighting conditions, thanks to the high sensitivity to light of 0.1 lux.Gira Colour Camera

If the lighting conditions are still insufficient, four LEDs located below the camera cover plate provide the necessary illumination.

The Gira colour camera has a wide-angle lens with a 150° aperture angle. In combination with the 1/3" CCD sensor of the camera module, an effective angle of detection of 100° results.

The camera lens itself is mounted in a ball joint and can be adjusted as desired after the 2 Torx screws are loosened. It can be manually swung ± 20° in every direction, and can therefore be very exactly directed at the door entrance area.

The camera is protected by a sturdy, weatherproof dome, which can easily be replaced by the installer if necessary. An integrated, temperature-dependent camera heater ensures proper operation even at temperatures below freezing.
