SubscribeRegula Ltd., an emerging force in full page document readers, document authenticity verification and other forensic equipment, announces today that it has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with TSSI Systems based in Swindon, UK.
Under this agreement TSSI, the security solutions provider will distribute Regula's document readers and document authenticity verification equipment across the UK for use in HM Customs & Excise, Immigration, Police, Ports and Airports. The agreement was initialised by Security Advisory and Technology Services Ltd, the UK specialist security consultancy, that identifies developing and international technologies for new markets.
The document readers have been designed to capture full page document image, read visual and machine readable zones of passports, identity cards and other security documents whilst also checking their authenticity. The readers use innovative concepts to reveal the document's security features under Infra Red and Ultra Violet light as well as reading the information from the electronic document's RFID chip.
The document reader range has been developed by Regula as a direct response to the recent and on-going changes to international approaches regarding concept of travel documents. Nikita Kolesnev, Head of International Marketing & Business Development for Regula commented "As the impact of the new ISO 7501 and ICAO 9303 standards take effect, reader manufacturers must ensure their equipment is able to read data from the new breed of e-passports".
