TABREshield Isolation Unit 1000 Series

A series of small containment units for suspect devices, explosives storage or mail quarantine. Testing conducted at a UK MoD test facility demonstrated a 90% reduction in blast over pressure using the TABREshield Isolation Unit. If a postal service device detonated inside the unit whilst someone was next to it, the controlled blast energy released by the TIU falls well below the level for hearing damage. The unit has spawned a variety of customer specific models, each tailored to meet exacting blast protection requirements.
TABREshield Isolation Unit 2000

For the safe isolation, containment and movement of larger sized suspect ED's. Intended for high volume sorting and screening operations and airports. In service around the world.
TABREshield Building Cladding

Appliqué building and room blast protection system offering an aesthetically appealing and durable facing. TabreClad can be coloured to customer specification and can include moulded motifs and logos.
TABREshield Scanner Protection

Protection panels for encapsulating conveyorised and cabinet X-ray screening equipment to mitigate the effects of an X-ray initiated IED. Fully adaptable to all scanner makes and models, the casing allows full access for maintenance and can be fitted to the equipment in situ.
TABREshieid Bins
'Post it' style litterbins for high value enclosed or roofed public are- as. Designed to contain fragmentation in all directions and to reduce the blast effects from larger IED's. Gives discreet, passive and all round blast protection and can be tailored to corporate image.

TABREshieid Boots - PPE100

Designed primarily for demining personnel and other agency workers. The PPE100 TABREshieid Boot is both practical and rugged offering enhanced blast and fragmentation protection whilst maintaining comfort and usability for the wearer.

TABREshield Detonator Containment Units -500 Series

Certified by UK MoD to meet 1.4S carriage of detonators, the TDCU500 series of containers are based on a standard NA TO ammunition container lined with T ABRE@. Various configurations of lining allow for forensically recovered detonators to civil and military electric and non-electric types.

How?
By using the Blastec Bomb Bin.

- Light weight
- Easily and rapidly deployed
- Water filled - readily available 250 at. low cost
- Simple to use
- Reliable and effective
- Up to 70% reduction in overpressures
- Significant fragment retention

Trials using up to 20kg of improvised explosive device, clearly demonstrate the blast mitigation effects of the water inflated Blastec Bomb Bin. It can remain inflated in locations where suspect objects are expected or it can be folded away for convenient storage to be used when and where necessary.
Waterwall Technology
Unfortunate as it is, society today has to contend with an increased level of threat to people, services and infrastructure. One clear danger and cause of much disruption arises from the threat posed by powerful explosive devices. Countering this hazard requires an effective and innovative product equal to the task.
Cintec International Ltd has responded by developing a range of water inflated, rapidly deployable blast mitigation devices known as the Water Wall™ system. Extensive tests and trials have clearly demonstrate that the Water Wall™ system is exceptionally effective in mitigating the effects of blast and for the retention of fragmentation arising from accidental or deliberate explosions.
Water, having a relatively high mass has often been used to mitigate the effects of explosive devices. The pressures behind the blast wave are substantially reduced, heat is absorbed and fragmentation is either eliminated or significantly reduced. Furthermore, as water is readily available in urban areas, it is easy to inflate the Water Wall™ system when and where necessary.

The design of the Blast Bin has been optimised for use by specialist Explosive Ordnance Disposal Crews working on live ordnance disposal on military training areas or in post conflict scenarios. The Blast Bin can be deployed and inflated in under 5 minutes and is capable of suppressing fragmentation arising from most battlefield munitions, removing the need to build time consuming sandbag enclosures.

Cintec's Water Wall is a unique system designed to provide temporary blast mitigation and fragment retention protecting people and property from the effects of a car bomb or similar device. The Water Wall stands 3m high and is constructed of a series of water filled panels similar to the Bomb Bin. These are internally reinforced to provide the necessary stability when full of water. Each panel inter-locks with its neighbour to create an unbroken wall of water.
Inflation of the panels is identical to the method for the Bomb Bin, but the volume contained is much greater. Each panel contains over 3 tons of water. The Water Wall has been tested against a car bomb containing 250kg TNT. Although the Water Wall was torn apart by the force of the explosion, examination of the witness screens protected by the wall shows that no vehicle fragments succeeded in passing through it. The reductions in the pressure readings behind the wall were as much as 80%.

By changing the height of the Water Wall it is possible to engineer a smaller structure that can be employed as an anti-ram bag to protect vulnerable building perimeters from vehicular attack. It is anticipated that a number of Ram Bags could be linked together a re-deployed in advance of VI P visits and at times of heightened security to control traffic flows and cordon off secure areas.

Bomb Inhibitor
Bomb threats and bombs are increasingly part of modern life. Terrorists, political rights campaigners and religious fanatics use this form of maximum terror to draw attention to their cause. Death, serious injury, destruction of property and assets, loss of trade and earnings are all the result of the bomber.

- Up to 90% reduction in blast damage
- Up to 90% reduction in fragmentation damage
- Virtual elimination of fire risk
- Consequential loss reduction
- Retains forensic evidence
- Temperature range -45°C to 55°C
- Simple to install
- Guaranteed for 3 years
FACT - Most bombs are discovered before they explode
FACT - Only 30% of bombs are dealt with by the authorities
FACT - It is impossible for bomb disposal officers to deal immediately with every bomb threat, hoax or factual
FACT - Managements' responsibility is to protect life, reduce injury and save property and assets
The latest generation of Bomb inhibitors have been designed and manufactured after extensive trials and tests.
These trials have been witnessed by independent EOD officers. Dramatic reductions in blast, fireball and shrapnel damage have been recorded on every occasion.
The time between the discovery of a suspect device and the arrival of the bomb squad can be considerable. What immediate action can be taken to contain the effects of any explosion?
