Allen-Vanguard, a global leader in solutions to mitigate threats from chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) devices, is showcasing a number of its signature products at the 4th General Police Equipment Exhibition and Conference, (GPEC) 2006.
The event, which is the leading police exhibition and congress for special equipment and homeland security in central Europe, is taking place in Leipzig, Germany between 2 - 4 May.
The products being exhibited this year include Allen-Vanguard's ROVs - Defender and Vanguard™ MK2, Universal Containment System™ (UCS), HAL® and search kits. The range of equipment is key to the policing sector at a time when security teams face an unprecedented threat from terrorist activity.
All products are currently in use with various authorities around the world. They include:
- ROVs - large and small scale robots for remote access, manipulation and render-safe of both explosive and CBR dispersal devices
- Universal Containment System™ (UCS) - tent-like structure placed over a suspect device and filled with a special foam to mitigate blast and neutralise chem-bio materials
- HAL® kits - semi-remote operating equipment for access and manipulation in high risk search and IEDD render safe procedures
- Search equipment - ranging from visual and technical search equipment to special operations search kits
