MG1 allows supplying easier access to SMS (GSM data), Fax and E-mails also offering DMS (Documents Management System) simplified functions to Alarm Monitoring Station operators.
Operation Principle
MG1 acts like a front-end:
The order interface permits it to spontaneously trace the events coming from outward interfaces.- It possesses an order interface on the inner network.
- As well as interfaces towards the different outward offered interfaces.
And a WEB interface allowing to create and read messages through a web interface.
MG1 comprises several queues, one by outward interface and one for the inner interface. The queue information is sequentially handled.
Utilization Register
The outward interfaces are:
- An evolved fax interface through ZetaFax
- SMS interface
- e-mail interface
- Printer
Behaviour

Strengthened Security
To strengthen security in relation to internet, it is possible to install a DMZ in MG1. MG1 becomes thus a true bastion host protecting you from any outward threat.
INTEGRATION WITH M1, the Alarm Monitoring Software from ESI.
MG1 offers, to the M1 operators, functionalities relating to reception, e-mails, fax and/or SMS emission.
MG1 periodically checks new mails using a POP3 connection.
When it founds a new message, it notifies M1 through a XF1com alarm before making the message traceability.
Reception and sending mail diagram

Delivery of incoming mails
Thanks to MG1, M1 receives one or several mail accounts e-mails and delivers them:
- either by processing group according to the same rules as alarms dispatch mode
- or directly to an operator
M1 can also launch automatic actions from a mail delivery
Mail processing Skills
Through the « processing groups », the administrator can set to dedicate a particular number of operators to the mail processing. Consequently, the incoming mails are only presented to the authorized operators.
If none authorized operator is connected, the unread mails are presented when an authorized operator connects himself.

Incoming mails Notification

Each mail received is notified in a specific window.
M1 Client incoming mail display
The alarms process being a priority, mails are presented in a different space to not interfere with the alarms management.
Incoming mails management
The notification indicates for each site the number of unread received mails.
The operator clicks on the message he wants to open. This action has for effect:
- to put the selected mail in the mail folder,
- to clear the notification on the other operators' screen.
Incoming mail reading
The mail content is displayed when it is put in folder and selected.
The mail is considered as « read » when it has been cleared by the operator.
Mail transfer in an alarm folder
The operator can select any incoming mail to allocate it to an alarm folder.
When the mail is transferred, it disappears from the delivery box to appear in the history file.
Each received mail is put in history.
If this one is associated to a site, an entrance is inserted into the site follow-up.
If none site is determined, an entrance is inserted into the DMS follow-up.
Following the usual alarms model, each step is traced:
- Mail display: presentation in the notification window
- Put the mail in folder: selection of the mail by the operator or automatic put in folder
- Results of the made actions: all the steps of the action scheme and potential comments
- Mail archiving
M1 HISTORY UTILIZATION
M1 History integrates a new category allowing to filter « Mail » alarms.
Other existing criterions are used to refine the search:
- Origin: permits to differentiate sent mails and delivered mails
- Dates: permits to filter mails by sending or delivery date
- Site: permits to specify the site associated to the mail
- User: to filter the mails which have been receipted by a particular operator.
The selection of a mail will edit it in a web browser.
M1 History also allows automatic report generation and sending
Supervision console
The supervision console display the details about realised sendings.
