The BIO range can be fitted outside as it is fully protected against weather conditions. It contains a standard user database of 30 fingerprint templates. It can offers flexible connectivity options via RF communications to a variety of RF receivers, which can activate other devices such as electric locks, electro magnets, alarm systems, etc.
Also, Microlatch proposes a full range of devices in order to suit the end user needs:
- BIO-13: Unit powered by common AAA batteries to get a much longer self-sufficiency and supplied with receiver. This unit is accessible to every user as the installation is so easy and the batteries can be purchased everywhere.
- BIO-14: Unit powered by Lithium batteries. This model is more compact than the BIO-13 while offering the same technical qualities and better power autonomy. We can also offer the self-contained version to connect directly to power source.
- BIO-15: If you want an even more discreet and compact installation, this unit groups all the functions of the technology into a flush fitting unit.
- 1 to 2 buttons RF Key fobs: We can offer a wide range of multi-purpose non biometrics RF key fobs, offering simple user authentication and access control. It is a convenient communication via RF transmission which removes the need for physical keys or contact and prox cards. The receiver can also be linked to BIO13 and BIO-14.
- Because we are manufacturing a full range of access control devices such as electro-magnet locks, strikes and bolt locks, we can integrate and combine the Microlatch range with our products. This is why we can offer ideal access control package kits:
- We have created the PAC-13 which consists of a combination of the choice of a BIO unit, a receiver with “door chime”, a power supply and a one channel button key fob. For applications in small offices or residential, this RF combination offers a fail condition that activate the “door chime” as a request for attention.
- The PAC-14 offers the same features.
- The PAC-11 offers a non-biometric system with 2 wireless button key fobs and a door controller kit. This is an efficient economical alternative to the biometric packages. Ideal for wireless home automation when fingerprint security is not immediately required.

FOB-13 wireless fingerprint key fob
iGE Security Limited will launch actively this new technology to the Milipol 2005 exhibition between the 22nd and 25 November 2005. This product is unique as it is completely wireless, compact, self contained biometrics fingerprint key fob.
This keyfob is patented worlwide and offers a variety of personal use application options, from access control/identification to motor vehicle entry via standard RF systems. Compact and flexible, this personal device offers, entry to home and office, plus can be integrated in any third party systems.
Contrary to keys, swipe cards or RF remote controls, the FOB-13 offers an innovative solution in the case of theft. The intruder cannot access any premises because the only administrator fingerprint read will allow access. This obviously will secure with efficiency vehicles, garages, home, small offices and many more areas in case of theft or loss of the key fob.
Also, the administrator of the FOB-13 can allow another two users to enter their fingerprint into the keyfob which expand the functionality of the unit not just to one person.
The product range extends the customer base for iGE Security Ltd to include car companies, high security access control companies, door manufacturers, system integrators and residential or small commercial, including other specialist areas for license control and operation of vehicles and machines.
The main area of opportunities looks to be automotive securing access to vehicle and alarm on/off function. Also, the product will be used by a large proportion of people in the future, in the domestic or professional purposes, replacing physical keys, current push-button remotes and keyfobs whilst offering a single solution for use and access to all manner of buildings, machines, vehicles, plus specialist applications and computer logon etc. We think it will replace the growing number of access cards, physical keys, passwords (which are mostly forgotten) that are accumulating in our pockets, purses and wallets.
