Robust Design
Utilising a combination of best-ofbreed, modular components built upon a robust system architecture, Digimarc’s Centrian ID Workstations are designed to operate in high-volume environments for many years with minimal system maintenance.
Modular, Flexible and Expandable
The Centrian ID Workstation has been designed to accommodate new capabilities and technologies as they become available. Over time, or to enhance the system functionality, additional system modules or functions can be added to meet changing requirements.
Secure Data Exchange System
Before being transmitted to Data Management or Card Production, images and demographic information for each applicant are linked and stored together in a Digimarc Composite
Image File (CIF). This secure and convenient data exchange method ensures that the text and image data for one applicant cannot become mixed with text and image data from another. For seamless integration with a variety of external devices and applications, the CIF protocol is available free of charge to all development partners.
Demographic Data Integration
Digimarc’s Centrian workstations provide unparalleled flexibility of integration to demographic database management systems. Demographic data may be entered using an existing IT infrastructure or keyed at the Centrian workstation. At larger offices, several text entry workstations may share a single Centrian image capture station while in smaller offices or for mobile stations, text and image capture may be carried out on the same workstation.
Regardless of where the data originates, this integration capability enables the authentication and verification of applicant information, and may be integrated for either Central Issue or Over the Counter issuance.
Over the Counter (OTC) Card Issue
In addition to applicant processing, Digimarc’s Centrian Workstation can be configured for over the counter card issuance. The OTC Card Issuance Module™ includes card design functionality, plus on-site printing and laminating capabilities. Superior card layout and graphic design services are combined with the highest overt, covert and forensic security features available to produce best-of-breed security documents that can be issued immediately.
Digimarc® Centrian™ ID Workstations
The base Centrian ID Workstation includes data capture capabilities, a secure, integrated data storage system and a built-in secure system administration and access control architecture.
The Centrian ID Workstation comes in four modules (combinations specific to your implementation are available):
- Centrian Desktop ID Workstation for fixed and mounted implementations
- Centrian Shared ID Workstation for shared access to multiple peripherals
- Centrian Portable ID Workstation for instances where mobility is a requirement
- Shadow Reduction System. An optional attachment that virtually eliminates shadows behind subjects’ heads, thereby ensuring the clearest, distortion-free portraits possible.
Customisation Options
Find-A-Face
Digimarc’s Find-A-Face software automatically locates the subject's head, centres it perfectly, then scalesand crops it to fit the images area.
Fingerprint Capture System
Supporting most commercially available fingerprint capture systems, the Centrian system is compliant with the FBI’s AGIS fingerprint standard and has built-in quality control to ensure
excellent image output.
Facial Image Investigation Tools
Based on an analysis search engine and used to support visual and forensic facial identification, this 1-to1 or 1-tomany face matching system provides an unparalleled solution for the matching of facial images.
Secure Web Retrieval
A secure, internet technology based retrieval module that allows online access to help verify subject identities. Retrievable data includes facial images, fingerprints, and - depending on the actual implementation and access rights - a full range of demographic information. This module can be implemented using a secure intranet or over the internet using virtual private networking. A variety of data encryption options are available.
Security Access
An additional security layer can be implemented, including token authentication, fingerprint verification, facial recognition or other biometric validation procedures.
Full Motion Live Video
While the standard system includes digital portrait capture, full motion video preview enables camera operators to view the portrait subject in real time prior to capturing the digital portrait.
