Allen-Vanguard has developed a complete range of training solutions under the umbrella of ‘The Training Group’, to educate members of the armed forces, police and fire brigades, on best practice for handling Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) terrorism devices. They are believed to be the only provider of this type of training within the UK.
Within the last ten years, the defence industry has seen a huge change where terrorism has transitioned from being a niche activity to the current global mainstream threat. In order to contend with this widespread issue, Allen-Vanguard has invested heavily in its training division, with the aim to provide comprehensive solutions to combat CBRNE terrorism.
In addition to product and equipment training, Elite Live Agent Training (ELAT)* is also available to groups such as elite international response organisations that meet strict prerequisite guidelines. It enables groups to verify and validate their protocols and operational readiness in a 'live' threat environment. This type of training is held in Canada.

Said Allan K. Parisien, Director-Training at Allen-Vanguard: "We have been collaborating very closely with security specialists in order to educate and prepare those at the front line for the very real prospect of dealing with a terrorist attack. It is this commitment to training that enables us to offer a bespoke service that meets specific CBRNE requirements.
"The training courses that Allen-Vanguard offers are designed to give participants the knowledge and confidence to work in hazardous CBRNE environments. We are able to give participants the knowledge and understanding they require to best equip them to successfully operate within any given terrorist scenario."

* Elite Live Agent Training (ELAT) is provided for specialised individuals who play a critical role in a CBRNE incident response. ELAT uses live agents, actual lethal chemical warfare substances, radioactive materials and biological organisms. These 'agents' are present in the training environment. ELAT exercises build confidence and ensure full operational readiness.
