Aigis Blast Protection Technology
The traditional approach to protection against blast is through resistance, 'bouncing' the blast energy off a structure (e.g. fragmentation mats, steel plates, thick concrete walls). 

In close proximity, the most damaging part of an explosion is the invisible, but devastating effect of the shockwave, doing the most harm to the human body, passing through solid objects, at speeds of more than 20 times the speed of sound.

Even if the structure does resist, the energy is bounced in another direction, causing unintended catastrophic loss of life and damage.

The Aigis TABREshield technology treats the problem of blast in a totally innovative way: it actually absorbs c90%of the energy of the explosion, thus reducing the damaging effects, including fragmentation and any forces of acceleration.

David worked for most of his early career in the Marketing and Communications world. After studying Languages at Oxford, he joined Unilever, where he was trained to become a classical marketing specialist,with a clear understanding that meeting a customers needs in terms of quality, product performance and price is critical to all business success.

After his time in Unilever, in the UK and around Europe, he spent many years running major Advertising agencies in London and Brussels, latterly, for over ten years, as vice chairman and head of client relations of a top-five group, covering all forms of Marketing Communication.

For the last few years, he has chosen to explore just how much he had
learned from working for major organisations - he created his own business to help small technology-based companies to flourish in a world where the founding principals often had little or no grasp of the need for and implementation of marketing and communications.

This resulted in floating two companies on the AIM in the '90's, and for the last few years he has kept up the pace with an intense involvement in Aigis, both as a major shareholder, and as a hands-on member of the management team.
